The Warsaw University Eastern European Studies programme invites you for the Warsaw East European Conference, which will be held on July 15-18 2012 on the university’s main campus. The title and theme of this conference is “Old and New. Past, present and future of the post-communist World”. It is the largest and most important conference of on this region. This year’s guests include very well known experts and historians including Hélène Carrere d’Encausse and Prof. Richard Pipes; Borys Tarasiuk, Egidijus Aleksandravicius, Stanisław Szuszkiewicz, Alexander Rondeli. During the conference, there will be an event that is open to the public each day at 16.00. We invite you also to the opening lecture by Hélène Carrere d’Encausse as well as the closing ceremony which will be led by Richard Pipes.
