How do you promote your company without financial inputs? In Poland, 200,000 new companies start annually. Only a few of them will achieve success. It is not only the idea for business or how you perform it which is important, but also good promotion of the product or service. Here are few methods that will help you promote your firm:

Let the world know about you

If your product makes life easier for people or upgrades different kinds of business processes, then a press information directed to the media and bloggers will surely help. Remember to chose the group of media you send your information to wisely. Don’t send information about new methods of optimising the recruitment process to fashion magazines for women. This is a common mistake with irritates journalists. Also remember that press information should be written clearly. Your text should answer five simple questions: Who? What? When? Where? Why? and contain essential information for journalists.

From supplier to advisor

Running a company blog can attract future clients. Writing a blog requires regularity, so think about whether you have time to run it. A company blog is an flexible and cheap solution, but at the same time solid capital with can strengthen the position of your firm in the market. Running a company blog from a position of an expert and advisor, sharing knowledge and experience, can help in building trust and future clients.

Create your own network of contacts

For young firms, one of the most important things are contacts. This is why it’s good to create a firm profile on web services called “business networking” such as: Lindekin.com, Xing.com, Viadeo.com or other Polish clones: goldenline.pl, profeo.pl. These portals can help you dynamically improve your business relations, and also promote information about your firm among people who might be interested in cooperation. It’s good to be active on industry-focused discussion groups, resulting in your company being seen as an opinion leader.

Gather and send

Keeping in contact with potential clients alone is not enough. If you have a blog and website, put an create a newsletter. Gather mailing address so that in the near future you can send your new client base the actual offer you have, as well as information about new products and links to expert materials.

Share everything and build your mark.

Thanks to Twitter you can build relations with clients, advertise new products and services and finally build your own brand. The same goes for Facebook. Share curiosities and useful information with your fans – build and strengthen your own brand. YouTube is also becoming increasingly important in marketing, especially if the videos show how your product or service can make life easier, or simply teach the audience something useful.

Communication via social media, the internet and more traditional media are connected vessels. From a single communication channel you can promote information from others, and potential clients will read your blog post or review of a product in the specialist press. It’s important to communicate regularly. There is nothing worse than a dead social media or blog profile.

However, if don’t feel that you can currently handle communicating your firm, don’t worry! We have created “Houston We Have Start-Up” competition for you. The prize for the winning Start-Up is a 6-month service from Lewis PR (from November 2013 to April 2014). The agency will realise a strategic workshop, develop a communication strategy, carry out media training, and also take care of: media relations, media media monitoring, social media channels service and monitoring editorial events.

We won’t leave you alone after 6 months. During that time you will be able to learn more about PR, thanks to the special e-learning courses bundle given to the winner by the Proto.pl portal.
