On Tuesday October 21st, at “Ресторан Универсал” (Restaurant Universal) in Kaliningrad, Russians will have the opportunity to meet with Polish film director Krzysztof Zanussi. The discussion is being co-organised by the city of Gdańsk and the Amberkant discussion club.
The meeting with Zanussi will present excerpts of his films as well as provide an opportunity for Kaliningradians to discuss in an informal setting.
Krzysztof Zanussi was born in Warsaw in 1939. From 1971 to 1981, he was vice president of the Union of Cinematographers in Poland. Since 1987, his has been a leading director in theatres in Poland, Italy, France, Germany and Russia, as well as operas in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France. In 1984 Zanussi was awarded the main prize of the Venice Film Festival, the “Golden Lion”.
