Special Event: Eastern Europe – A (Mis)Understood Space?
The Polish bimonthly magazine Nowa Europa Wschodnia invites you to a meeting in Moscow on Tuesdsay October 30th at 19.00 for a discussion titled: “Eastern Europe – A (Mis)understood Space?”
During the meeting there will be a presentation of the Polish bimonthly magazine Nowa Europa Wschodnia – the sister journal to New Eastern Europe.
The discussion features panelists who will consider regionally focused issues such as: Is there a need for a Polish-based journal in the Russian language addressed at the post-Soviet countries? Is Eastern Europe an area of “rivalry” between Europe and Russia? Do the states in this region have shared interests? What meaning do these countries have in the context of the political and cultural changes that have taken place of the past 20 years?
Panelists will include the editors of Nowa Europa Wschodnia Andrzej Brzeziecki (Editor in Chief) and Małgorzata Nocuń (Executive Editor) as well as Russian political analysts and experts: Mikhail Vinogradov, Alexey Miller, Oleg Nemensky, Ivan Preobrazhensky, Mikhail Remizov and Andrei Ryabov.
