Andrzej Poczobut Arrested

Andrzej Poczobut, a well-known Belarusian Pole, a correspondent for Gazeta Wyborcza and chairman of the Board of the Union of Poles in Belarus (UPB) has been arrested today, as reported to the Polish press by the president of the UPB, Andżelika Orechwo.
“Today, Andrzej’s home was ransacked and criminal proceeding were initiated against him based on the same article as before,” Orechwo said.
Poczobut was previously arrested in April 2011 and in July of the same year received a three year probationary sentence.
