New Eastern Europe Awarded

adam award 3New Eastern Europe was recognised as one of the best projects in cross-border cooperation during the 2015 annual Eastern Europe Initiatives Congress in Lublin, Poland. The award ceremony was held on October 2nd 2015 in the Gallery of Polish Paintings inside the Royal Castle in Lublin.
 
Each year the Congress organizes an award competition designed for all creative entities without any legal limitation, including non-governmental organisations, informal artistic groups, individuals, local authorities and business entities running artistic projects both from the EU and the Eastern Partnership countries.
 
During the award ceremony, New Eastern Europe was represented by Adam Reichardt, editor-in-chief, and Iwona Reichardt, deputy editor. While accepting the award Adam Reichardt said that “this distinction is truly a great honour and is confirmation that what we do as a magazine is important and has a positive impact on reality. It reassures us that the mission we follow is important and serves to improve the relations between the nations of Central and Eastern Europe well.” 
 
The Lublin distinction is just one more recognition of New Eastern Europe as an important international project. In 2014, Adam Reichardt was named as one of the top regional innovators for his work on New Eastern Europe and in 2012 The magazine was short-listed for the Europe Press Prize in the category of editing.
